Hi! I’m Josephine and I started working at GFAH in Summer 2022. I began at GFAH through a shadow-ship with the lovely Dr. Bishop, and later became a regular volunteer and eventual employee.
It is such a joy to be able to engage in both my love for science and my profound adoration for animals on a daily basis. My ultimate dream is to study large animal medicine and work as a DVM at a nonprofit animal sanctuary. I’m very passionate about animal rights and my passion has only been strengthened by my favorite person in the whole world, my four-year-old rescued potbelly pig, Franny. Franny reignited my interest in veterinary medicine and is a constant source of motivation in pursuing my ambitions to help animals!
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with Franny, reading (especially books about virology), listening to music, and going outdoors (I would love to see all of the U.S National Parks). I am so grateful I get to interact with all of the wonderful clients and patients of GFAH!
